Our Founders

Our co-founders Josh and Valery have always been especially passionate about two things: solving problems and the environment. After examining the wasteful packaging and harmful chemicals that went into making traditional toothpaste and mouthwash they took matters into their own hands. The oral care industry was due for an upgrade. That's when they set out to build Lark, a new way to brush for a new generation- utilizing clean ingredients only and sustainable packaging to ensure the cleanest brushing experience for both your mouth and mother nature.
How it Started
When Lark's cofounders were having random small talk about toothpaste ingredients one night, they had no idea where it would lead them. What began as banter over how to pronounce diethanolamine and carrageenan evolved into a much larger mission to create non-toxic oral care.

We source our bamboo from groves that are managed according to strict Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) guidelines. This ensures that the forests are being managed sustainably, and that the local communities are being treated fairly.
